Aion 2 Leveling Guide: 1 to 45 the Fast Way
The short version
- Follow the main story quest (the yellow one) and ignore almost everything else. It gives far more experience than any other activity.
- When the story stalls, do the green regional quests in the area until it continues. This happens a few times, around levels 12, 22 and 36.
- Upgrade your weapon and little else. Leveling gear is replaced within hours.
- Do not rush the last five levels expecting them to be quick. Levels 40 to 44 are 70% of all the experience.
Players report reaching 45 in roughly seven hours of pure main story, or a day or two at a relaxed pace.
Where the time goes
Experience needed grows fast. Total experience from level 1 to 45 is about 755 million, split like this:

Wings, pets, titles, the Daevanion system itself and your legion are unlocked by story quests, not by level. One more reason to stay on the main story.
By level 45 you will have earned 203 skill points, 29 stigma points and 136 Daevanion Crystals from leveling.
Spend your Daevanion Crystals carefully
Filling all five boards costs 802 crystals, and leveling to 45 only gives you 136. Every point spent is permanent. Follow the suggested unlock order in your class guide and take the nodes that matter first instead of spreading points around.
What not to waste while leveling
- Enhancement materials. Take your weapon to about +5 and stop. Save the rest for gear you will keep at 45.
- Time on side quests. Past level 20 or so they give too little experience to be worth it, except when the story needs them.
- Skill points on everything. Put them into the skills your class guide marks as “Max first”.
- Crystals and stigma points on things you plan to change. Pick your stigmas from the class guide from the start.
Which class levels fastest
Any class reaches 45 with the main story, but classes with area damage and good survivability do it with less effort. See the Farming & leveling row of our tier list: Gladiator, Sorcerer and Spiritmaster are the smoothest.
